Hamish Maxwell-Stewart is a Professor of Social History and teaches History and Classics at the University of Tasmania. He has a passion for using digital techniques to piece together past lives, and is an academic expert on convict life in Australia. Hamish has made regular appearances on radio, creates podcasts, and you may recognise him from TV, where he has been a guest authority on the British and Australian versions of Who Do You Think You Are.
